So, what's the problem?
The cosmetic store team struggled with messy and inefficient operations due to a lack of a proper internal system. Repetitive manual tasks wasted time, real-time performance insights were missing, roles were unclear leading to miscommunication, and poor mobile access made on-the-go management difficult.
How did I solve it?
I introduced AI automation to cut repetitive tasks and free up time for higher-value work. The admin panel centralized all tools, tasks, and insights, real-time dashboards sped up task completion by 40%, role-based permissions clarified responsibilities, and the mobile version improved flexibility for 96% of users.
What was my process?
I followed the Double Diamond framework to stay grounded in real team needs, starting with competitor analysis, mapping a user persona, and building a journey around her pain points. Using ‘How Might We’ prompts, I brainstormed, sketched, and iterated the design, testing and refining until the panel felt complete.
Challenges & Success
The biggest challenge was managing complex information without overwhelming users. I simplified the experience while preserving functionality, focusing on clarity and supporting different workflows. Through careful design decisions about what to show and when, the final solution gave users full control, improved efficiency, and made the platform intuitive and easy to use.
